Moorpark, California September 16, 1992
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Moorpark was held on September 16, 1992 in the Council
Chambers of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue,
Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Lawrason called the meeting to order at
6:02 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Montgomery, Talley,
Wozniak, and Mayor Lawrason.
Absent: Councilmember Perez
Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Cheryl
Kane, City Attorney
3. DISCUSSION:
A. Consider Requesting that Governor Wilson
Veto Senate Bill 1559 (Booking and Property
Tax Fees Administration) and Senate Bill
1977 (Revisions to the Brown Act).
MOTION: Councilmember Montgomery moved and
Councilmember Talley seconded a motion to support
the League of California Cities' position against
these two Senate Bills and authorize the Mayor to
send a letter to the Governor requesting that he
veto these bills. The motion carried by voice
vote 4 -01 Councilmember Perez absent for the
vote.
4. CLOSED SESSION:
MOTION: Councilmember Montgomery moved and
Councilmember Wozniak seconded a motion to go
into Closed Session for a discussion of all items
listed on the agenda.

C. Potential litigation pursuant to Government

G. Litigation concerning Conejo Freeway
Properties, LTD. vs. City of Moorpark.
H. Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs.
Southern California Edison, et al.
I. Negotiations for Real Property on the South
Side of High Street (Southern Pacific /VCTC)
pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8.
J. Litigation concerning Moorpark vs. Fidelety
Corporation.
The motion carried voice vote 4 -0, Councilmember
Perez absent for the vote.
Present in Closed Session were all Councilmembers
but Councilmember Perez; Steven Kueny, City
Manager; Cheryl Kane, City Attorney.
The meeting reconvened into Open Session at 6:55
p.m.
Mr. Kueny stated that only item 4.C, had been
discussed and there was no action to report out
of Closed Session.
