HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1993 0324 CC ADJMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California March 24, 1993 An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on March 24, 1993 in the Council Chambers of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lawrason called the meeting to order at 6:20 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Hunter, Montgomery, Perez, Wozniak, and Mayor Lawrason. Steven Kueny, City Manager; Richard Hare, Deputy City Manager; Cheryl Kane, City Attorney. 14. CLOSED SESSION: MOTION: Councilmember Hunter moved and Councilmember Montgomery seconded a motion to go into Closed Session for a discussion of all items listed on the agenda. A. Personnel. B. Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(1). C. Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c). D. Negotiations for Real Property on the South Side of High Street (Southern Pacific /VCTC) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. E. Negotiations for Real Property at 280 Casey Road (Moorpark Unified School District) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. F. Litigation concerning Conejo Freeway Properties, LTD. vs. City of Moorpark. G. Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs. Southern California Edison, et al. H. Litigation concerning Moorpark vs. Fedelety Corporation. I. Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs. Foster Enterprises. MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA Page 2 March 241 1993 J. Litigation concerning Moorpark vs. CalTrans (Case No. 123655) K. Litigation concerning Villa del Arroyo vs. City of Moorpark (Case No. 105170) L. Litigation concerning Ventura County Community College District, et al vs. City of Moorpark (Case No. 107569). M. Litigation concerning City of Thousand Oaks, et al., vs. County of Ventura. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote. Present in Closed Session were all Councilmembers; Steven Kueny, City Manager; Richard Hare, Deputy City Manager; and Cheryl Kane, City Attorney. AT 8:05 P.M. a recess was declared. The full Council with Mr. Kueny, Mr. Hare and Ms. Kane reconvened into Closed Session at 8:15 p.m. Ms. Kane left the Closed Session at 8:25 p.m. AT THIS POINT in the meeting the Council convened into Open Session and Mr. Kueny stated that only items 14.C., 14.D., 14.G., 14.H., 14.I., and 14.J., had been discussed and there was no action to report out of Closed Session. The meeting reconvened into Closed Session at 8:25 p.m. to discuss 14.A. Personnel; and 14.E. Negotiations for Real Property at 280 Casey Road (Moorpark Unified School District) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. The meeting reconvened into Open Session at 9:25 p.m. MOTION: Councilmember Montgomery moved and Councilmember Wozniak seconded a motion to designate Mayor Lawrason and Councilmember Perez as the City's representatives for discussion with the Moorpark Unified School District on negotiations for real property at the Casey Road school site. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote. Mr. Kueny reported that only items 14.A. and 14.E., had been discussed and there was no action to report out of Closed Session.
