Moorpark, California April 7, 1993
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was
held on April 7, 1993 in the Council Chambers of said City located
at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Lawrason called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Hunter, Montgomery, Perez, and
Mayor Lawrason.
Absent: Councilmember Wozniak.
Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Richard Hare,
Deputy City Manager; Cheryl Kane, City
Attorney.
3. CLOSED SESSION:
MOTION: Councilmember Perez moved and Councilmember
Montgomery seconded a motion to go into Closed Session for a
discussion of all items listed on the agenda.
A. Personnel.
B. Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(b) (1) .
C. Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(c).
D. Negotiations for Real Property on the South Side of High
Street (Southern Pacific /VCTC) pursuant to Government
Code Section 54956.8.
E. Negotiations for Real Property at 280 Casey Road
(Moorpark Unified School District) pursuant to Government
Code Section 54956.8.
F. Litigation concerning Conejo Freeway Properties, LTD. vs.
City of Moorpark.
G. Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs. Southern
California Edison, et al.
H. Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs. Foster
Enterprises.

I. Litigation concerning Moorpark vs. CalTrans (Case No.
123655)
J. Litigation concerning Villa del Arroyo vs. City of
Moorpark (Case No. 105170)
K. Litigation concerning City of Thousand Oaks, et al., vs.
County of Ventura.
The motion carried by voice vote 4 -0, Councilmember Wozniak
absent for the vote.
Present in Closed Session were all Councilmembers but
Councilmember Wozniak; Steven Kueny, City Manager; Richard
Hare, Deputy City Manager; and Cheryl Kane, City Attorney.
The meeting reconvened into Open Session at 7:01 p.m.
Mr. Kueny stated that only items 3.B. and 3.G. had been
discussed and there was no action to report out of Closed
Session.
AT THIS POINT in the meeting the Mayor declared a recess. The
time was 7:02 p.m.
The meeting reconvened at 7:23 p.m.
MOTION: Councilmember Montgomery moved and Councilmember
Perez seconded a motion to approve a settlement with Southern
California Edison, Pacific Bell, and Shell Oil related to the
Tierra Rejada Road widening litigation. The motion carried by
voice vote 4 -0, Councilmember Wozniak absent for the vote.
4. ADJOURNMENT:
MOTION: Councilmember Montgomery moved and Councilmember
Perez seconded a motion to adjourn. The motion carried by
voice vote 4 -0, Councilmember Wozniak absent for the vote.
The time was 7:25 p.m.
