None.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT:
Ron Golden questioned the Council regarding the permit parking
program under consideration. He suggested that no parking for
street sweeping would be a better approach. He said parking
should be restricted on both sides of the street. He said
that would largely solve the overcrowding problem as it
related to vehicles. He said if the Council were to consider
Area H, the line should be drawn at Millard and there should
be signs posted at all four entrances after doing a mailing to
notify the residents. He said Area H is too big.
Eloise Brown spoke regarding the permit parking ordinance.
She stated that the Council would create hard feelings in a
neighborhood by requiring a petition to institute permit
parking.
Dr. Everett Braun spoke regarding the permit parking
ordinance. He suggested limiting each residence to four cars
only. He agreed that a petition could cause "hard feelings"
in a neighborhood.
Lt. Dean indicated that an ordinance disallowing parking of
non - motorized vehicles on the street would be helpful.
Teresa Jones said in other areas of the city where there is no
concern with overcrowding, a problem will be created for
households where children drive cars. She said in her
household there was no way that all the drivers can park in
the garage and on the driveway.
