HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1994 0316 CC SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL• Moorpark, California March 16, 1994 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on March 16, 1994 in the Council Conference Room of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lawrason called the meeting to order at 6:42 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Councilmembers Hunter, Montgomery, Perez, and Mayor Lawrason. Absent: Councilmembers Wozniak Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Richard Hare, Deputy City Manager; Cheryl Kane, City Attorney. 3. CLOSED SESSION: MOTION: Councilmember Perez moved and Councilmember Montgomery seconded a motion to go into Closed Session for a discussion of all items listed on the agenda: A. Personnel. B. Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956. 9 (b) (1) . C. Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c). D. Litigation concerning Moorpark vs. CalTrans (Case No. 123655) . E. Negotiations for Real Property at 675 Moorpark Avenue (Moss) and 661 Moorpark Avenue (Aikens) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. F. Negotiations for Real Property on the North Side of Los Angeles Avenue and South Side of Poindexter Avenue contiguous to Mission Bell Plaza pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. G. Litigation concerning Conejo Freeway Properties, LTD. vs. City of Moorpark. H. Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs. Downs,. Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California Page 2 March 16, 1994 I. Negotiations with Caltrans for Real Property (a Portion of the Community Center ) at 799 Moorpark avenue pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. J. Negotiations for Real Property on Poindexter Avenue (APN 511 -08 -16 - Gisler) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8 The motion carried by voice vote 4 -0, Councilmember Wozniak absent for the vote. Present in Closed Session were all Councilmembers but Councilmembers Wozniak; Steven Kueny, City Manager; Richard Hare, Deputy City Manager; and Cheryl Kane, City Attorney. The meeting reconvened into Open Session at 7:08 p.m. MOTION: Councilmember Hunter moved and Councilmember Perez seconded a motion to reject the claim of Colmer Development Company and to so notify the claimant. The motion carried by voice vote 4 -0, Councilmemember Wozniak absent for the vote. Mr. Kueny stated that only items 3.B., 3.C., 3.D., 3.E., and 3.G. were discussed and there was no action to report out of Closed Session. 4..
