TOWN HALL MEETING
Moorpark, California September 10, 1994
A Special Town Hall Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Moorpark was held on September 10, 1994, at the Community Building
of the Buttercreek Estates Homeowners Association, located at the
southeast corner of Chestnut Ridge and Maplecrest Streets in
Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Lawrason called the City Council meeting to order at
9:20 a.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Hunter, Montgomery, Wozniak, and
Mayor Lawrason
Absent: Councilmember Perez
Staff
Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager
Three members of the public were in attendance.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT:
Bob Bigley, 3892 Hunters Grove Court, spoke concerning the use
of "no stopping" rather than "r:o parking" signs in bike lanes
throughout the City of Moorpark. He was specifically
concerned that he was unable tc pick up his children along the
curb of streets with the "no stopping" signs. This matter was
referred to the City Council's Transportation and Streets
Committee meeting scheduled for September 26.
Jim Hartley, 5950 Gabbert Road, spoke about the Happy Camp
Canyon Park proposed golf coarse to be considered by the
County, and he indicated he wanted ':o see the State Highway
118 extension plans.
Lori Rutter, 11611 Pinedale Road, expressed appreciation for
receiving responses to her prior questions and asked about the
use of the outdoor public address system at the High School
stadium. She was again referred to the school district. She
also inquired about the status of the community focus lot in
Mountain Meadows, and she stated that t_he railroad crossing on

State Highway 118 west of the city needed more advance
warning.
4. ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Lawrason adjourned the Town Hall meeting at 10:24 a.m.
