Moorpark, California October 22, 1996
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was
held on October 22, 1996, in the Conference Room of said City
located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Lawrason called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Brown, Hunter, Perez, Wozniak
and Mayor Lawrason
Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Richard Hare,
Deputy City Manager; Ken Gilbert, Director of
Public Works; Lillian Hare, City Clerk.
3. PRESENTATION /ACTION /DISCUSSION:
A. Consider authorization for Notice of Intention of the
City of Moorpark to Adopt a Resolution of Necessity for
the Acquisition of Certain Easements (Parcels 3, 5A and
5B) Across Certain Property Owned by the Southern
California Edison Company (SCE) Located on the South Side
of the Arroyo Simi and Identified as Assessor Parcel Nos.
506 -0 -010 -045 and 506 -0 -010 -615. Staff Recommendation:
Authorize the Notice of Intention.
Mr. Gilbert gave the staff report.
The Council received a copy of the proposed notice. Mr.
Gilbert indicated that the date of the letter would be
October 23, 1996, and the hearing would be held on
November 7, 1996. He indicated that the hearing date
would be corrected in the letter.
Dan Burchfield 12345 Sunnyglen Drive, addressed the
Council. He thanked them for their action on the bridge
and indicated that his wife had collected a hundred
letters after the October 16, 1996 meeting which were
sent to Southern California Edison. He provided the
Council with the response from Stephen Frank, President
and Chief Operating Officer of Southern California
Edison.
MOTION: Councilmember Brown moved and Councilmember Hunter
seconded a motion to approve the staff recommendation to
authorize the Notice of Intention. The motion carried by
unanimous voice vote.

4. CLOSED SESSION:
None was held.

MOTION: Councilmember Perez moved and Councilmember Wozniak
seconded a motion to adjourn. The motion carried by unanimous
voice vote. The time was 6:25 p.m.
