Moorpark, California July 23, 1997
An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Moorpark was held on July 23, 1997 in the Council Chambers of said
City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Hunter called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilmember Perez.
3. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Evans, Perez, Rodgers Teasley,
and Mayor Hunter
Absent: Councilmember Wozniak
Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Richard Hare,
Deputy City Manager; Cheryl Kane, City
Attorney; Ken Gilbert, Director of Public
Works; Deborah Traffenstedt, Senior Planner;
Lillian Hare, City Clerk

8. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
A. Consider Adoption of Ordinance Creating a Community
Facilities District for the Purpose of Selling Bonds to
Fund the Carlsberg Business Park Public Improvements.
Staff Recommendation: Adoption of Resolution No. 97 -1360

levying special tax for Community Facilities District 97-
1 for Fiscal year 97/98; second reading and adoption of
Ordinance No. 235.
Mr. Hare gave the staff report and introduced Marshall
Linn of Urban Futures who provided additional information
on this matter.
Ms. Kane read the ordinance title.
MOTION: Councilmember Evans moved and Councilmember Teasley
seconded a motion to read the ordinance title and waive
further reading. The motion carried by voice vote 4 -0,
Councilmember Wozniak absent for the vote.
MOTION: Councilmember Evans moved and Councilmember Teasley
seconded a motion to declare Ordinance No. 235 read for the
second time and adopted. The motion carried by voice vote 4-
0, Councilmember Wozniak absent for the vote.
MOTION: Councilmember Evans moved and Councilmember Teasley
seconded a motion to adopt Resolution 97 -1360 levying special
tax for the Community Facilities District 97 -1 for Fiscal Year
1997/98. The motion carried by voice vote 4 -0, Councilmember
Wozniak absent for the vote.
9. ADJOURNMENT:
MOTION: Councilmember Evans moved and Councilmember Perez
seconded a motion to adjourn. The motion carried by voice
vote 4 -0, Councilmember Wozniak absent for the vote.
The time was 7 :50 p.m.
