Moorpark, California May 20, 1998
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was
held on May 20, 1998, in the Community Center Conference Room of
said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Hunter called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Evans, Perez, Teasley, Wozniak, and
Mayor Hunter.
Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; John Nowak,
Assistant City Manager; and Captain Mike
Lewis, Sheriff's Department.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
4. REORDERING OF, AND ADDITIONS TO, THE AGENDA:
CONSENSUS: By consensus, the Council determined to discuss
Item S.B. following Closed Session.
5. PRESENTATION /ACTION /DISCUSSION:
A. Consider Application of Zoning Requirements and
Entitlement Process for 448 Moorpark Avenue, Staff
Recommendation: Direct staff as deemed appropriate.
Councilmember Teasley left the meeting at 6:17 p.m.
CONSENSUS: By consensus, the Council determined to include
the policy issue in the discussion of the Downtown Specific
Plan.
_ MOTION: Mayor Hunter moved and Councilmember Wozniak
seconded a motion to approve the request for application of
zoning requirements and entitlement process for 448 Moorpark
Avenue.

The motion carried 4 -0 -1, Councilmember Teasley absent.
Councilmember Teasley returned to the meeting at 6:42
p.m.
6. CLOSED SESSION:
Mr. Kueny announced that Items 6.A., 6.D. and 6.F. would be
discussed.
MOTION: Councilmember Evans moved and Mayor Hunter seconded a
motion to adjourn to closed session for a discussion of Items
6.A., 6.D. and 6.F. The motion carried by unanimous voice
vote. The time was 6:31 p.m.

G. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Title: Administrative Services Director, City Attorney,
City Clerk, City Manager, City Engineer, Director of
Community Development, Director of Community Services,
Public Works Director
Present in closed session were all Councilmembers; Steven
Kueny, City Manager; and John Nowak, Assistant City Manager.
The Council reconvened into open session at 6:59 p.m. Mr.
Kueny stated there was no action to report and that only Items
6.A., 6.D. and 6.F. were considered.
5. PRESENTATION /ACTION /DISCUSSION:
B. Presentation of Moorpark Police Department DARE Showcar
(to begin at 6:45 p.m.)
Captain Lewis presented the Moorpark Police Department
DARE Showcar to the City Council outside the Council
Chambers.
7. ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Hunter adjourned the meetAnj at 7:15
