Moorpark, California March 3, 1999
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark
was held on March 3, 1999, in the Community Center of said City
located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Hunter called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Evans, Harper, Rodgers,
Wozniak, and Mayor Hunter.
Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager, and Cheryl Kane,
City Attorney
3. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
4. CLOSED SESSION:
Mr. Kueny announced that the City Council would be going
into closed session for discussion of Items 4.C., 4.F., and
4.G. on the agenda.
MOTION: Councilmember Harper moved and Councilmember
Wozniak seconded a motion to adjourn to closed session for
a discussion of Items 4.C., 4.F., and 4.G. The motion
carried by unanimous voice vote. The time was 5:31 p.m.

G. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION

Theresa L. Dillon vs. City of Moorpark
Present in closed session were all Councilmembers, Steven
Kueny, City Manager, and Cheryl Kane, City Attorney.
The Council reconvened into open session at 6:51 p.m. Mr.
Kueny stated that Items 4.D., 4.F., and 4.G. were
considered and that there was no action to report for Items
4.D. and 4.F.
The City Attorney, Ms. Kane, reported that for Item 4.G.,
by unanimous vote of Councilmembers Evans, Harper, Rodgers,
Wozniak, and Mayor Hunter, the City Council approved
settlement of Theresa Dillon vs. City of Moorpark, a case
in which the City agreed to pay Theresa Dillon $80,000 over
two years; in addition, the City agreed to pay $40,000 of
Theresa Dillon's attorneys' fees with the payment to be
made directly to the attorney.
5. ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Hunter adjourned the meeting at 6:52 p.m.
