HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 2000 0322 CC SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California March 22, 2000 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on March 22, 2000 in the Community Center of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hunter called the meeting to order at 5:55 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Harper, Rodgers, Wozniak and Mayor Hunter Absent: Councilmember Evans Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; John Libiez, Principal Planner; and Deborah Traffenstedt, City Clerk 3. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 4. PRESENTATION /ACTION /DISCUSSION: A. Consider Resolution No. 2000 -1720 Supporting Cooperative Efforts to Permanently Preserve Open Space and Agricultural Lands in the Tierra Rejada Greenbelt. Staff Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2000 -1720. Mayor Hunter described minor editorial corrections proposed to the draft resolution. MOTION: Councilmember Harper moved and Councilmember Rodgers seconded a motion to adopt revised Resolution No. 2000 -1720. The motion carried by voice vote 4 -0, Councilmember Evans absent. B. Consider April 26, 2000, at 6:30 P.M. as the Date and Time for a Joint City Council /Planning Commission Meeting. Staff Recommendation: Approve April 26, 2000, at 6:30 P.M. as the date and time for the joint meeting. Councilmember Wozniak stated that Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) staff are available on April 26 to make a presentation regarding State Route 118. Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California Page 2 March 22, 2000 Mayor Hunter asked that staff from Caltrans and the Port of Hueneme also be invited to attend. Councilmember Wozniak asked that State Route 118 be discussed first on the April 26 joint meeting agenda before goals and objectives. He stated that the VCTC staff presentation would take approximately 30 minutes. CONSENSUS: By consensus, the Council determined to approve April 26, 2000, at 6:30 p.m. as the date and time for the City Council /Planning Commission joint meeting and directed that the State Route 118 bypass item be placed first on the agenda. 5.
