Moorpark, California May 17, 2000
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark
was held on May 17, 2000, in the Community Center of said City
located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Hunter called the meeting to order at 6:06 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Rodgers, Wozniak, and
Mayor Hunter
Absent: Councilmembers Evans and Harper
Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Ken
Gilbert, Director of Public Works; Hugh
Riley, Interim Deputy City Manager; and
Deborah Traffenstedt, City Clerk
3. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
4. PRESENTATION /ACTION /DISCUSSION:
A. Consider Possible Revision to Resolution No. 2000 -1723
Pertaining to Stop Controls at Gabbert Road and
Poindexter Avenue. Staff Recommendation: Direct staff
as deemed appropriate.
Mr. Gilbert gave the staff report and stated that staff
had moved the limit bar for the southbound stop nine
feet. He also stated that the School District and the
California Highway Patrol had been contacted regarding
the change and appeared to find the revised design to
be acceptable.
In response to Mayor Hunter, Mr. Gilbert stated that no
change to Resolution No. 2000 -1723 is required, and
that the issue regarding the southbound stop control on
Gabbert Road is resolved.
