HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 2001 0606 CC SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California June 6, 2001 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on June 6, 2001, in the Community Center of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hunter called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Harper, Mikos, Millhouse, Wozniak, and Mayor Hunter Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Acting City Attorney; Brian Assistant City Attorney, Assistant City Manager; Director of Public Works; Traffenstedt, Assistant to Ci Clerk 3. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 4. CLOSED SESSION: Joseph Montes, Pierik, Acting Hugh Riley, Ken Gilbert; and Deborah ty Manager /City Mr. Kueny announced that one case under Item 4.A. and Item 4.G. would be discussed in closed session. Mr. Montes announced that for the one case under Item 4.A., the facts and circumstances creating significant exposure to litigation consist of an appeal of denial of application for encroachment permit, Moorpark Road Realignment (County Project No. 50221), filed by the County of Ventura Public Works Agency on March 19, 2001. MOTION: Councilmember Harper moved and Councilmember Wozniak seconded a motion to adjourn to closed session for a discussion of one case under Item 4.A. and Item 4.G. Rentals & Repairs, Inc., a California Corporation vs. TM Engineering, a California joint venture; Washington International Insurance Co., an Illinois corporation; WAUSAU, a Mutual Company, a Wisconsin corporation; and City of Moorpark, a California public entity (Case No. SC CIV198723) Present in closed session were all Kueny, City Manager; Joseph Montes, Brian Pierik, Acting Assistant City Assistant City Manager; Ken Gilber Works; and Deborah Traffenstedt, Manager /City Clerk.
