HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1989 0405 CC SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California April 5, 1989 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark, California was held on April 5, 1989 in the Council Chambers of City hall of said City, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER The Meeting was called to order at the hour of 6:28 p.m. by Mayor Eloise Brown. 2. ROLL CALL The City Manager noted the presence of the Council and Staff as follows: Present: Councilmember Clint Harper, Paul Lawrason, and Mayor Eloise Brown. Absent: Councilmembers Scott Montgomery and Bernardo Perez. Staff: Steven Kueny, City Manager; and Cheryl Kane, City Attorney. 3. CLOSED SESSION MOTION: Councilmember Harper moved and Councilmember Lawrason seconded a motion to adjourn into closed session at the hour of 6:30 p.m. to discuss 1) Personnel; 2) Litigation concerning Boething vs. the City of Moorpark; 3) Litigation concerning the City of Moorpark vs. Boething; 4) Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(1); 5) Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c); 6) Negotiation for real property at 280 Casey Road (former high school site - Moorpark Unified School District) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8; 7) Negotiation for real property on a portion of Community Focus area of PC -3 (Urban West Communities) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8; 8) Negotiation for real property known as Arroyo Vista Community Park with Fedele /Braun pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8; 9) Negotiation for real property on the north side of Tierra Rejada Road, east of Spring Road (Carlsberg); 10) Negotiation for real property on the south side of Tierra Rejada Road, east of Spring (Watt); and 11) Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs. Southern California Edison. The voice vote was unanimous, with Councilmembers Montgomery and Perez absent. Also present in the closed session were Steven Kueny, City Manager; and Cheryl Kane, City Attorney. NOTE: Councilmember Perez entered the closed session at the hour of 6:56 p.m. The Meeting reconvened into open session at the hour of 7:12 p.m. City Manager Kueny advised that only discussed during the closed session: for real property known as Arroyo Fedele /Braun pursuant to Government Negotiation for real property on the Road, east of Spring Road (Carlsberg); property on the south side of Tierra (Watt). the following matters were 1) Personnel; 8) Negotiation Vista Community Park with Code Section 54956.8; 9) north side of Tierra Rejada and 10) Negotiation for real Rejada Road, east of Spring Mayor Eloise Brown advised that no action was taken as a result of the closed session. 4. ADJOURNMENT MOTION: Councilmember Harper moved and Councilmember Perez seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting at the hour of 7:17 p.m. The voice vote was unanimous, with Councilmember Montgomery absent.
