HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1989 0920 CC SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California September 20, 1989 The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark, California was held on September 20, 1989, in the Council Chambers of City Hall of said City, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 6:18 p.m. by Mayor Eloise Brown. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Harper, I,awrason, Montgomery, Perez and Mayor Brown Steven Kueny, City Manager, and Cheryl Kane, City Attorney. 3. CLOSED SESSIO MOTION: Councilmember Harper moved and Councilmember Montgomery seconded the motion to go into Closed Session for the purpose of discussing the following items listed on the agenda: A. Personnel B. Potential litigation pursuant. to Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(1). C. Potential litigation pursuant: to Government Code Section 54956.9(c). E. Litigation concerning Moorpark Unified School District vs. City of Moorpark. F. Negotiation for real property at 289 Casey Road (former high school site - Moorpark Unified School District) pursuant to Government Code Section 54945.8. G. Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs. Southern California Edison. 1-I. Litigation concerning Villa Del Arroyo vs. City of Moorpark. I. Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs. F.idelety Corporation (Arroyo Vista. Park). Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California 2 September 20, 1989 J. Litigation concerning Ventura County Community College District vs. City of Moorpark. K. Negotiation for real property at the northeast corner of Spring Road and Tierra Rejada Road (Pacifica Corporation) pursuant to Government Code Section 54945.8. Steve Kueny, City Manager, stated there was no action to report from the Closed Session, and the only items discussed were Items 14.13, 14.C., 14.H. and I.A.K. The City Council. meeting reconvened into Open Session at 6:58 p.m. 4. ADJOURNMENT: MOTION: Councilmember Lawrason moved and Councilmember Montgomery seconded a motion to adjourn the Special Meeting at the hour of 6:59 p.m. The voice vote was unanimous.
