HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 2007 0801 CC SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL Moorpark, California August 1 2007 A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on August 1, 2007, in the Community Center of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hunter called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Mikos, Millhouse, Parvin, Van Dam, and Mayor Hunter. Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Joseph Montes, City Attorney; Hugh Riley, Assistant City Manager; Yugal Lall, City Engineer /Public Works Director; David Bobardt, Planning Director; and Maureen Benson, Deputy City Clerk. 3. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 4. CLOSED SESSION: Mr. Kueny requested the Council go into closed session for discussion of one case under Item 4.A. and one case under Item 4.B. on the agenda. Mr. Montes announced that for the one case under Item 4.A., the facts and circumstances creating significant exposure to litigation consist of letters and emails received since July 17, 2007, from Southern California Edison (SCE) threatening litigation and pertaining to SCE's objection to recordation of Final Map 5147 and an email received on July 31, 2007, from Mr. Paul Burns representing AB Properties. MOTION: Councilmember Millhouse moved and Councilmember Parvin seconded a motion to adjourn to closed session for discussion of one case under Item 4.A. and one case under Item 4.13. on the agenda. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote. A.
