HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1994 0209 RDA SPCMINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Moorpark, California February 9, 1994 A Special Meeting of the City Council/Redevelopment Agency of the City of Moorpark was held on February 9, 1994 in the Council Conference Room of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor/Chairman Lawrason called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Councilmembers/Agency Members Hunter, Montgomery, Perez, and Mayor/Chairman Lawrason. Absent: Councilmember/Agency Member Wozniak Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager/Executive Director; Richard Hare, Deputy City Manager/Treasurer; Cheryl Kane, City Attorney/Agency Counsel. 3. CLOSED SESSION: MOTION: Councilmember Hunter moved and Councilmember Montgomery seconded a motion to go into Closed Session for a discussion of all items listed on the City Council special meeting notice and the Redevelopment Agency special meeting notice: COUNCIL: A. Personnel. B. Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 (b) (1) . C. Potential litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c). D. Litigation concerning Moorpark vs. CalTrans (Case No. 123655). E. Negotiations for Real Property at 675 Moorpark Avenue (Moss) and 661 Moorpark Avenue (Aikens) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. F. Negotiations for Real Property on the North Side of Los Angeles Avenue and South Side of Poindexter Avenue contiguous to Mission Bell Plaza. Negotiations for Real Property at 18 High Street (Abbott & Associates, Moorpark Chamber of Commerce, Moorpark Melodrama) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. H. Litigation concerning Conejo Freeway Properties, LTD. vs. City of Moorpark. I. Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs. Downs. J. Litigation concerning City of Moorpark vs. Southern California Edison, et al. REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY: A. Negotiations for Real Property at 675 Moorpark Avenue (Moss) and 661 Moorpark Avenue (Aikens) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. B. Negotiations for Real Property at 18 High Street (Abbott & Assoc., Moorpark Chamber of Commerce, Moorpark Melodrama) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8. C. Negotiations for Real Property on the North Side of Los Angeles Avenue and South Side of Poindexter Avenue contiguous to Mission Bell Plaza. The motion carried by voice vote 4-0, Councilmember/Agency Member Wozniak absent for the vote. Present in Closed Session were all Councilmembers/Agency Members but Counci lmember /Agency Member Wozniak; Steven Kueny, City Manager/Executive Director; Richard Hare, Deputy City Manager/Treasurer; and Cheryl Kane, City Attorney/Agency Counsel. The meeting reconvened into Open Session at 7:14 p.m. Mr. Kueny stated that only City Council item 3.E. and Agency item 3.A. were discussed and there was no action to report out of Closed Session. AT THIS POINT in the meeting the Chairman adjourned the Redevelopment Agency meeting and the Council reconvened into Closed Session. The time was 7:16 p.m. Present in Closed Session were all Councilmembers but Councilmember Wozniak; Steven Kueny, City Manager; Richard Hare, Deputy City Manager; and Cheryl Kane, City Attorney. Minutes of the City Council Moorpark, California Page 3 February 9, 1994 Councilmember Wozniak joined the Closed Session at 7:20 p.m. Councilmember Hunter left the Closed Session at 8:00 p.m. The meeting reconvened into Open Session at 8:38 p.m. Mr. Kueny stated that only 3.B., 3.C., 3.D., and 3.J. were discussed and there was no action to report out of Closed Session. 4.
