HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1996 0417 RDA REGMINUTES OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Moorpark, California April 17, 1996 A Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Moorpark was held on April 17, 1996, in the Council Chambers of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Lawrason called the meeting to order at 7:58 p.m. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: None. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Agency Members Brown, Hunter, Perez, Wozniak and Chairman Lawrason Staff Present: Steven Kueny, Executive Director; Richard Hare, Agency Treasurer; Steve Hayes, Redevelopment/Economic Development Manager, Cheryl Kane, Agency Counsel; Lillian Hare, Agency Secretary. 9. CONSENT CALENDAR: A. Consider Approval of Warrant Register Warrants 504 - 506 $ 50,775.44 Staff Recommendation: Approve the Warrant Register. MOTION: Councilmember Perez moved and Councilmember Wozniak seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar. The motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. S. PRESENTATIONS/ACTION/DISCUSSION: A. Consider Bids - Purchase of Gisler Field Housing Project. Staff Recommendation: That the Agency reject all bids as being non -responsive and direct this report to the Economic Development and Affordable Housing Committee for recommendation back to the Agency by May 5, 1996. Mr. Hayes recommended rejection of all bids. John Newton, 165 High Street, addressed the Council and indicated that his client, Wayne Colmer, instructed him to indicate to the Council that as a consultant, as a community service, he (Mr. Colmer) is offering to help determine what it would take in terms of amenities and conditions to achieve the value of the land the City is looking to achieve. He said Mr. Colmer is no longer . interested in the project as it is currently described. rl� E 1 Minutes of the Redevelopment Agency Moorpark, California Page 2 April 17 1996 MOTION: Councilmember Brown moved and Councilmember Perez seconded a motion to direct the Economic Development and Affordable Housing Committee to review the specifications contained in the request for bids to determine whether the minimum bid price for the land should be reduced so it becomes more equitable; a recommendation to come back from the Committee to the Agency by May 15, 1996.
