HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1998 0916 RDA REGMINUTES OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Moorpark, California September 16, 1998 A Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Moorpark was held on September 16, 1998 in the Community Center of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Hunter called the meeting to order at 8:17 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Present: Agency Members Evans, Perez, Teasley, Wozniak and Chairman Hunter. Staff Present: Steven Kueny, Executive Director; Cheryl Kane, Agency Counsel; and Deborah Traffenstedt, Agency Secretary. 3. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 4. PUBLIC HEARINGS: 5. PRESENTATION /ACTION /DISCUSSION: 6. CONSENT CALENDAR: MOTION: Agency Member Perez moved and Agency Member Wozniak seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar excluding Item 6.A. The motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. B. Consider Authorizing $12,500 in Tax Increment Set -Aside Funds for Matching Requirements for Use of HOME Funds for Down Payment Assistance for Low Income First Time Home Buyers for Fiscal Year 1998/99. Staff Recommendation: 1) Authorize the inclusion of up to two (2) projects outside the Redevelopment Project Area; 2) Approve the expenditure of Set -Aside funds for Down Payment Assistance outside the Redevelopment Project Area; and 3) Adopt Resolution No. 98 -73, amending the 1998/99 Budget by appropriating $12,500 from the MRA Housing Reserves to the MRA account "Other Contractual Services - HOME Down Payment Assistance Matching Funds" (232.512.0000.000.9191) to fund the matching requirements associated with the use of HOME funds for down payment assistance to Very Low Income First Time Home Buyers. The following item was pulled from the Consent Calendar for individual consideration: Minutes of the Redevelopment Agency Moorpark, California Page 2 September 16, 1998 A. Consider Proposed Sale of Real Property at Flory Avenue and Los Angeles Avenue by Moorpark Unified School District. Staff Recommendation: Indicate that the Agency is not interested in the purchase or lease of the real surplus property offered by the Moorpark Unified School District. Chairman Hunter indicated he had pulled the item to bring the matter to the attention of the community and that the City Council had acted to express no interest in the property on September 2, 1998. MOTION: Chairman Hunter moved and Agency Member Perez seconded a motion to indicate that the Agency is not interested in the purchase or lease of the real surplus property offered by the Moorpark Unified School District. 7. ADJOURNMENT: MOTION: Agency Member Perez moved seconded a motion to adjourn. The voice vote.
