HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES CC 1984 126 1984 1106RESOLUTION NO. 84- 126 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT REGARDING A CITY MEASURE, AND DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN IMPARTIAL ANALYSIS. WHEREAS, a general municipal election is to be held in the City of Moorpark, California, on November 6, 1984, at which there will be submitted to the qualified electors of the City the follow- ing measure: "Shall the City Council consider the formation of an assessment district pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 for the purpose of maintaining public parks and other landscaped areas within the City of Moorpark ?" NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That this City Council, being the legislative body of the City of Moorpark, authorizes LETA YANC'Y- SUTTON , MavQr ALRFRT PRTRT()r,,,_COUnCllmember. ROGER BEAULIEU, Councilmember CLINTON D. HARPER, Councilmember JERRY STRAUGHAN, Councilmember members of that body, to file a written argument in favor of the City measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5 of the Elections Code of the State of California and to change the argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against the City measure may be submitted to the City Clerk. SECTION 2. That the Cite Council directs the City Clerk to transmit a copy of the measure :_o the City Attorney. The City Attorney shall prepare an impartla* analysis of the measure showinq the effect of the measur` on the existtnq law and the operation of the measure. The impartial analysis shall be filed by the date set uy the City Clark for the filing of primary %Lrauments.
