A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CF MOORPARK
APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNS
AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS
WHEREAS, Section 213S1 of the California Vehicle Code
authorizes the City to place and maintain, or cause to be placed
and maintained, such appropriate signs, signals or other traffic
control devices as may be necessary properly to indicate and carry
out the provisions of the Vehicle Code or local traffic ordinances,
or to warn or guide traffic;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS
(REFER TO EXHIBIT "A" FOR LOCATIONS):
SECTION 1: That four -way "STOP" signs shall be placed and
maintained at the intersection of Walnut Creek Road and Hillside
Drive, requiring traffic to stop in all directions before proceeding
through the intersection.
SECTION 2: That "STOP" signs shall be placed on the north
and south approaches to the intersection of Walnut Creek Road and
Williams Ranch Road. There is an existing "STOP" sign on the east
approach. Thus, all traffic will be required to stop before proceeding
through the intersection.
SECTION 3: That a "STOP" sign shall be placed and maintained
at the intersection of Williams Ranch Road and Laurel Glen Drive,
requiring traffic on Laurel Glen Drive to stop before proceeding
through the intersection.
SECTION 4: That "STOP AHEAD" signs shall be placed and
maintained nortTi an south of the intersection of Walnut Creek Road
and Hillside Drive to provide advance warning.
SECTION S: That the City Engineer is hereby directed to
install and maintain the signs hereinabove described at the locations
hereinabove identified.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of March, 1985.
