A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, DENYING THE APPLICATION OF
CARLSBERG DEVELOPMENT COMPANY FOR GENERAL PLAN
AMENDMENT NO. GPA -85 -2 ( CARLSBERG COMPONENT) ;
AND DENYING ZONE CHANGE NO. Z -2802, ON APPLICATION
OF CARLSBERG DEVELOPMENT COMPANY.
WHEREAS, at duly noticed public hearings on December 11, 1985 and
January 8 and 15, 1986, the Moorpark Planning Commission considered the
application of Carlsberg Development Company for the following:
1. General Plan Amendment No. GPA -85 -2 (Carlsberg Component)
An amendment to the Moorpark General Plan (Land Use
Element) to redesignate approximately 77 acres from Low
Density Residential (1.6 dwelling units per acre average)
to Light Industrial;
2. Zone Change No. Z -2802 - A zone change of the 77 acre
Carlsberg property from "R- E -1Ac" (Rural Exclusive,
one acre minimum) to "M -1" ( Industrial Park District;
said Carlsberg property being located adjacent to and south of New Los Angeles
Avenue, east of Moorpark Road, adjacent to and west of the Moorpark Freeway
(Route 23), in the City of Moorpark;
and
WHEREAS, after careful consideration, the Planning Commission
reached its decision in the matters, as is set forth in its Resolution No. PC- 86 -75,
Adopted January 22, 1986, recommending denial of the Carlsberg Component of
General Plan Amendment No. GPA -85 -2; and further, recommending denial of
Zone Change No: Z -2802; and
WHEREAS, public notice having been given in time, form and manner
as prescribed by law, ' the City Council of the City of Moorpark has held a public
hearing, has received testimony regarding said properties, has duly considered
the entitlements applied for, and has reached its decision;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the application of Carlsberg Development for
General Plan Amendment No. GPA -85 -2 (Carlsberg Component) and for Zone
Change No. Z -2802 is hereby denied without prejudice.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
SECTION 3. - That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
of this resolution..
