HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES CC 1986 336 1986 0818RESOLUTION NO. 86- 336 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF MOORPARK ROAD AND CHARLES STREET. WHEREAS, Section 21351 of the California Vehicle Code authorizes the City to place and maintain, or cause to be placed and maintained, such appropriate signs, signals, or other traffic control devices as may be necessary properly to indicate and carry out the provisions of the Vehicle Code or local traffic ordinances, or to warn or guide traffic; and WHEREAS, an engineering analysis has been conducted concerning the existing traffic controls at the subject intersection, as shown on the map attached hereto and designated as Exhibit "A "; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That two additional stop signs shall be placed and maintained on the south and west legs of the intersection of Moorpark Road and Charles Street, in addition to the existing stop sign on the. east leg, requiring all traffic to stop before proceeding through the intersection. SECTION 2. That the City Manager is hereby directed to provide for the installation and maintenance of the stop signs at the locations hereinabove identified.
