HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES CC 1987 400 1987 0715RESOLUTION NO. 87 - 400 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A SALARY FOR CLASSES OF POSITIONS IN THE COMPETITIVE SERVICE AND FOR POSITIONS NOT IN THE COMPETITIVE SERVICE; AND REPEALING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 86 -328, 86 -345 AND 87 -366. WHEREAS, the Moorpark City Council established Personnel System Rules and Regulations in Resolution No. 85 -185, adopted April 29, 1985; and WHEREAS, Rule 4 of said Resolution No. 85 -185 authorizes the preparation and adoption of a Salary Plan for classes of positions in the competitive service; and WHEREAS, it is also in the interests of the City to establish by Resolution a Salary Plan for positions not in the competitive service; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Moorpark, California, as follows: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the applicable Personnel Rules and Regulations, the classifications of Associate Planner, Finance Officer, Recreation Coordinator, and Senior Planner are exempt from the payment of overtime and /or compensatory time off, except as otherwise specifically provided for in the City's Personnel System Rules and Regulations and /or Memorandum of Understanding. SECTION 3. That Resolution No. 86 -328 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A SALARY PLAN FOR CLASSES OF POSITIONS IN THE COMPETITIVE SERVICE AND FOR POSITIONS NOT IN THE COMPETITIVE SERVICE; AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NOS. 85 -212, 85 -221, 85 -237, 86 -280, and 86 -301. adopted July 7, 1986, is hereby repealed. SECTION 6. That Resolution No. 86 -345 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 86 -328 (THE SALARY PLAN) OF SAID CITY, CONCERNING THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. adopted October 6, 1986, is hereby repealed. SECTION 7. That Resolution No. 87 -366, entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 86 -328 (THE SALARY PLAN) OF SAID CITY, CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CLASSIFICATIONS OF DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES AND DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY SERVICES. adopted, January 7, 1987, is hereby repealed. SECTION 8. That this resolution shall become effective and operative on July 1, 1987. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of July, 1987. 6�T. Ham_ Clint D.
