A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY-COUNCIL OF THE CIT t OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF VENTURA
COUNTY TO RE RMIT THE COUNTY CLERK TO RENDER SERV -ICES TO THE
CITY FOR THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
JUNE 2, 1987, AND TO CANVASS THE RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
WHEREAS, a special municipal election is to be held in the City
of Moorpark, California on June 2, 1987, for the purpose of electing one (1)
Council member to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term of office ending
November 1988; and
WHEREAS, the City of Moorpark wishes to have the County Clerk of
Ventura County render specified services to the City relating to the conduct
of the election; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 23306 of the Elections Code, the
City of Moorpark authorizes the Board of Supervisors of Ventura County to
canvass the election returns of the special municipal election to be held
in the City of Moorpark on the 2nd day of June, 1987.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That pursuant to the Elections Code, the Board of Supervisors is
requested to permit the County Clerk to render services with respect to the
conduct of the special municipal election, as shown on Exhibit A, attached
hereto and made a part hereof; and that any and all other such services be
rendered as may be necessary to complete the election.
That the City of Moorpark agrees to pay the reasonable costs for
the services and supoliAs to be rendered ny the County Clerk.

Candidate Statement Form. Number of sets requested

C. City will furnish all Candidate Forms excluding Candidate Statement
Form.

X A. County Clerk is requested to check nomination petition signatures.

X A. Maximum number of words permitted for the Candidate Statements will be
200 words (200 to 400).
X B. City is to be billed for pro rata cost of handling and printing
Candidate Statements. Pursuant to Elections Code Section 22003, City
agrees to reimburse County Clerk in full for the services performed
upon presentation of an invoice.
