A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A
SALARY FOR CLASSES OF POSITIONS IN THE
COMPETITIVE SERVICE AND FOR POSITIONS NOT
IN THE COMPETITIVE SERVICE; AND REPEALING
RESOLUTIONS NOS. 87 -400, 87 -439 AND
88 -441.
WHEREAS, the Moorpark City Council established Personnel System
Rules and Regulations in Resolution No. 85 -185, adopted April 29, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Rule 4 of said Resolution No. 85 -185 authorizes the
preparation and adoption of a Salary Plan for classes of positions in the
competitive service; and
WHEREAS, it is also in the interests of the City to establish by
Resolution a Salary Plan for positions not in the competitive service.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That a Salary Plan of monthly salary rates is hereby
adopted for the classes of positions in the competitive service as
follows:

SECTION 2. That pursuant to the applicable Personnel Rules and
Regulations, the classifications of Associate Planner, Finance
Officer, Recreation Supervisor and Senior Planner are exempt from
the payment of overtime and /or compensatory time off, except as
otherwise specifically provided for in the City's Personnel System
Rules and Regulations and /or Memorandum of Understanding.
SECTION 3. That the monthly and /or annual salary rates for
positions not in the competitive service are as follows:

SECTION 5. That Resolution No. 87 -400 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A SALARY FOR CLASSES OF POSITIONS IN THE
COMPETITIVE SERVICE AND FOR POSITIONS NOT IN THE COMPETITIVE
SERVICE; AND REPEALING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 86 -328, 86 -45 AND 87 -366.
adopted July 15, 1987, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. That Resolution No. 87 -439 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 87 -400 (THE SALARY PLAN) OF SAID
CITY CONCERNING THE POSITION OF FINANCE OFFICER.
adopted December 16, 1987, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 7. That any employee in the Competitive Service who is
designated as Deputy City Clerk by the City Clerk and approved by
the City Manager, shall receive an additional salary compensation of
5% in addition to the regular salary rate of that employee, during
the time period the employee is so designated. No more than one
position in Competitive Service may be designated as Deputy City
Clerk and receive said compensation at any one time.
SECTION 8. That Resolution No. 88 -441 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 87 -400 (THE SALARY PLAN) OF SAID
CITY CONCERNING THE DESIGNATION OF DEPUTY CITY CLERK.
adopted January 20, 1988, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 9. That this resolution shall be come effective and
operative on July 1, 1988.

hereby certify under penalty of perjury, that the foregoing Resolution No.
88 -493 was adopted by the City Council of the City of Moorpark at their
meeting thereof held on the 6th day of July, 1988, and that the same was
adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Brown, Harper, Perez and Mayor Lane.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Galloway.
ABSTAIN: None.
