A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, ADJUSTING
THE SALARY RATES FOR THE POSITION OF
FACILITIES COORDINATOR AND DIRECTOR OF
COMMUNITY SERVICES, AND REPEALING
RESOLUTION NO. 88 -518
_ WHEREAS, the Moorpark City Council established Personnel System
Rules and Regulations in Resolution No. 85 -185, adopted April 29, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Rule 4 of said Resolution No. 85 -185 authorizes the
preparation and adoption of a Salary Plan for classes of positions in the
competitive service; and
WHEREAS, it is also in the interests of the City to establish by
Resolution a salary plan for positions not in the competitive service;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Salary Plan I of MONTHLY salary rates is hereby
adopted for the classes of positions in the COMPETITIVE SERVICE as
follows:

SECTION 3. That pursuant to the applicable Personnel Rules and
Regulations, the classifications of Associate Planner, Finance
Officer, Recreation Supervisor and Senior Planner are exempt from
the payment of overtime and /or compensatory time off, except as
otherwise specifically provided for in the City's Personnel System
Rules and Regulations and /or Memorandum of Understanding.
SECTION 4. That Salary Plan II of MONTHLY and /or ANNUAL salary
rates for positions NOT IN THE COMPETITIVE SERVICE are as follows:

SECTION 7. That Resolution No. 88 -493 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A SALARY FOR CLASSES OF POSITIONS IN THE
COMPETITIVE SERVICE AND FOR POSITIONS NOT IN THE COMPETITIVE SERVICE;
AND REPEALING RESOLUTIONS NOS 87 -400, 87 -439 AND 88 -441.
adopted July 6, 1988, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 8. That any employee in the Competitive Service who is
designated as Deputy City Clerk by the City Clerk and approved by
the City Manager, shall receive an additional salary compensation of
5% in addition to the regular salary rate of that employee, during
the time period the employee is so designated. No more than one
position in Competitive Service may be designated as Deputy City
Clerk and receive said compensation at any one time.
SECTION 9. That the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this
resolution.
