A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, ADJUSTING THE SALARY
RATES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1989 /90, AND REPEALING
RESOLUTION NO. 89 -541
WHEREAS, the Moorpark City Council established Personnel System
Rules and Regulations in Resolution No. 85 -185, adopted April 29, 1985;
and
WHEREAS, Rule 4 of said Resolution No. 85 -185 authorizes the
preparation and adoption of a Salary Plan for classes of positions in the
competitive service; and
WHEREAS, it is also in the interest of the City to establish by
resolution a salary plan for positions not in the competitive service.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER A FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Salary Plan of MONTHLY salary rates is hereby
adopted for the classes of positions in the COMPETITIVE SERVICE as
follows, effective January 1, 1990.

SECTION 3: That pursuant to the applicable Personnel Rules and
Regulations, the classifications of Associate Planner, Finance
Officer, Recreation Supervisor, Maintenance and Operations
Supervisor, and Senior Planner are exempt from the payment of
overtime and /or compensatory time off, except as otherwise
specifically provided for in the City's Personnel System Rules and
Regulations and /or Memorandum of Understanding.

SECTION 7: That Resolution No. 89 -541 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, ADJUSTING THE SALARY RATES FOR THE POSITION OF
FACILITIES COORDINATOR AND DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY SERVICES, AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION 88 -518, adopted March 15, 1989 is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 8: That any employee in the Competitive Service who is
designated as Deputy City Clerk by the City Clerk and approved by
the City Manager, shall receive an additional salary compensation of
5% in addition to the regular salary rate of that employee, during
the time period the employee is so designated. No more than one
position in Competitive Service may be designated as Deputy City
Clerk and receive said compensation at any one time.

foregoing Resolution No. 89 -587 was adopted by the City Council of
the City of Moorpark at a meeting held on the 19th day of
July 1989, and that the same was adopted by the
following vote:
