HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES CC 1990 701 1990 0711dc4 V '7 Id RESOLUTION NO. 90 - 701 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS, APPROVING THE POSTING OF SPEED LIMIT SIGNS ON CERTAIN LOCAL STREETS AND REPEALING PRIOR ACTION RELATING THERETO WHEREAS, an Engineering Speed Study has been conducted on the local streets within the City of Moorpark; and, WHEREAS, the findings in said study support the establishment of prima facie speed limits and the posting of speed limit signs on certain local streets findings; and, WHEREAS, prior action which may be in conflict with said findings should be repealed. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Prima Facie speed limits on the streets listed on Attachment "A" are hereby established as those shown as proposed on Attachment "A ", per Section ?2358 of the California Vehicle Code. SECTION 2. Speed Limits on the streets listed on Attachment "A" are hereby established as those shown as proposed on Attachment "A". SECTION 3. Resolution Nos. 84 -128, 85 -184, 85 -258, 85 -285, 90 -635 and 90 -639, pertaining to the establishment of speed limits, are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. The City Manager is hereby directed to post speed limit signs as required to effectuate this action. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of July, 1990.
