HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES CC 1991 800 1991 1002RESOLUTION NO. 91- 800 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, DIRECTING THE FILING OF A APPLICATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 1992/93 TRANSPORTATION CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDS WHEREAS, the voters of the State of California have approved the issuance of State bonds to fund mass transit and rail projects, WHEREAS, the California State Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is soliciting formal rail project applications for Fiscal Year 1992/93 Transit Capital Improvement Funds, WHEREAS, the City intends to work with AMTRAK and with the Southern California Regional Rail Authority to develop an Intercity /Commuter Rail Station, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council directs the City Manager to apply for Transportation Capital Improvement Funds in the amount of $697,440. SECTION 2. The City Council demonstrates its commitment to funding and developing an Intercity /Commuter Rail Station in the City of Moorpark by declaring its intent to provide $200,000 to fund the remaining design and construction costs.
