RESOLUTION NO. 92- 868
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES FOR THE REVIEW AND
APPROVAL OF POLICE SERVICES FEES.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the City to establish fees
for City police services which fully reimburse the City for the
costs associated with the services, unless specified otherwise by
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City contracts for police services with the
County of Ventura; and
WHEREAS, the City uses personnel through this contract
arrangement to review plans and specifications of development
projects; and
WHEREAS, the City uses police personnel for traffic
control, crowd control, inspection, emergency responses and other
police services from time to time; and
WHEREAS, these services are for the benefit of or
precipitated by the actions of private individuals or companies and
the expense of which are not appropriately the responsibility of
the public -at- large;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. All police service fees and charges shall
be reviewed and updated annually by the department as part of the
budget process for approval in June of each year to insure that
they are current and are related to actual cost.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is authorized to set
any miscellaneous fees and charges not contained in this resolution
not to exceed $25.00. The City Clerk shall maintain a list of all
fees established by the City Manager and shall inform the City
Council in writing of each such fee within 15 days after its
establishment by the City Manager. City Council approval is
required for fees in excess of $25.00. Fees established by the
City Manager will be added to an updated fee schedule adopted
annually with the Miscellaneous Fee Resolution.
SECTION 3. That the City Council hereby approves the
fee schedule attached as Exhibit A - Police Services Fees.
