HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES CC 1994 1063 1994 0914RESOLUTION NO. 94- 1063 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROT EEDINGS TO CONSIDER AMENDING THE CITY'S ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO SETBACKS, PARKING, AND LANDSCAPING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DOWNTOWN AREA WHEREAS, Section 8115 -1.1. a. of Article 15 of Division 8, Chapter 1 of the Moorpark Municipal Code pr.-A,,,des that the City Council may initiated proceeding -,t to consider amendments to the Zoning Code by the adoption of a resolution of inte.ition requesting that Planning Con mission to set the matter for study, public hearing, and recommendations within a reazonable time and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to amend certain provisions of the Zoning Ordinance in order,to account for different needs of the Downtown area; :ind NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPXAK, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. On September 7, 1994, the City Council directed the Planning Commission to study, '«oId a public hearing, and recDmmend to the City Council modifications to the City's Zoning Ordinance relating to setbacks, parking requirements, and landscaping requirements for the downtown area in oroer to benefit the development of the downtown area.
