A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN A MULTI -
AGENCY TRAFFIC SAFETY /ENFORCEMENT GRANT
WHEREAS, the California Highway Patrol has received
grant funds for the creation of a multi - agency SR 118
Safety Task Force; and
WHEREAS, State Route 118, portion of which is within
the corporate boundaries of the City of Moorpark, has been
identified as the corridor for which a Safety Action Plan
is to be developed; and
WHEREAS, the grant allows funds for law enforcement;
and
WHEREAS, increasing law enforcement is an important
element in approving traffic safety on the corridor;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Moorpark is herewith
authorized to participate in the multi- agency Traffic
Safety /Enforcement Grant through the California Highway
Patrol.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is authorized to
sign any necessary documentation including participation
contracts to effectuate this grant and to designate the
grant administrator.

Moorpark, California, do hereby certify under penalty of
perjury that the foregoing Resolution No. 98 -1547 was
adopted by the City Council of the City of Moorpark at a
meeting held on the 18th day of November, 1998, and that
the same was adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Evans, Perez, Teasley,
Wozniak and Mayor Hunter
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
