A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY

better provide for the safe movement of vehicular traffic at a

HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. There are certain factors and conditions
pertaining to traffic controls at certain types of "tee"

at the intersection of Flowercreek Drive and Laurelview Drive,
said factors being summarized as follows:
a. The placement of a STOP sign at the non - through leg of
"T" intersection which is the entrance to a residential
neighborhood, is a common method of traffic control
throughout the City;
b. The installation of a STOP sign at the westbound leg of
the intersection of Flowercreek Drive and Laurelview
Drive would be consistent with that design standard and
such a STOP sign would, therefore, be consistent with
the expectation of drivers regarding traffic controls at
such intersections; and,
C. Traffic safety at the subject intersection would be
improved if questions regarding "right -of -way" were
clarified by requiring westbound traffic to stop prior
to entering the intersection.
SECTION 2. The above stated factors and conditions justify
the placement of a STOP sign for westbound traffic entering the
intersection of Flowercreek Drive and Laurelview Drive.
