HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES CC 2001 1889 2001 0905RESOLUTION NO. 2001 -1889 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICANT TO APPLY FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE ROBERTI- Z'BERG- HARRIS URBAN OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION PROGRAM UNDER THE SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, AND COASTAL PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2000 WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have approved a grant for the above Program; and WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the grant program, setting up necessary procedures; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and Recreation require the governing body to certify by resolution the approval of approval of the Grantee to apply for the Roberti- Z'Berg- Harris allocation; and WHEREAS, the Grantee will enter into a Contract with the State of California for subject Project(s). NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That it approves the filing for local assistance funds from the Roberti- Z'Berg- Harris Urban Open Space and Recreation Program under the Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air, and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2000; and SECTION 2. That it certifies that Grantee has or will have sufficient funs to operate and maintain the Project(s); and SECTION 3. That it certifies that Grantee has reviewed, understand and agrees to the General Provisions contained in the Contract shown in the Procedural Guide; and SECTION 4. That it certifies that Grantee has or will have available, prior to commencement of any work on the Project(s) included in this Application, the required Match; and Resolution No. 2001 -1889 Page 2 SECTION S. That it certifies that the Project(s) included in this Application conform to the recreation element of any applicable city or county general plan; and SECTION 6. That it appoints the City Manager as agent to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to Applications, agreements, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of Project(s). SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of the resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the book of original ResolutiLzs.
