A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR
2002/2003 TRANSIT BUDGET FOR VISTA -EAST COMMUTER
BUS SERVICE.
WHEREAS, public transit is important to preserve the
quality of life in Moorpark, reduce traffic congestion, and
protect the environment; and
WHEREAS, VISTA -East is a commuter express bus service
linking Moorpark to other cities and additional VISTA bus
routes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Moorpark sponsors VISTA -East with its
partners, the cities of Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, and the
Ventura Transportation Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City recognizes the need for, and the benefits
of, continuing the VISTA -east bus service.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A budget amendment as more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
the resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be
filed in the book of original Resoluti9_kis.
