HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES CC 2005 2408 2005 1019RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -2408 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE ART IN PUBLIC PLACES PROGRAM WHEREAS, on September 21, 2005, the City Council introduced for first reading Ordinance No. 321 establishing an Art in Public Places program; and WHEREAS, on October 5, 2005, Ordinance 321 was read for the second time and adopted by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Ordinance provides for the establishment of a public art fee and fund; and WHEREAS, the Ordinance provides that the City set said fee by resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Moorpark City Council of the City of Moorpark adopted Ordinance No. 321, on October 5, 2005, providing for the creation of an Art in Public Places Program by adding Chapter 17.50 to the Moorpark Municipal Code. Moorpark Municipal Code Section 17.50 provides that the City Council shall set by resolution the amount of the contribution obligation to the Art in Public Places Program for development subject to Chapter 17.50. SECTION 2. Effective as of the date this Resolution is adopted, contribution obligations established by Moorpark Municipal Code Chapter 17.50 shall be one (1) percent of the total building valuation for the development and remodeling projects subject to Chapter 17.50, excluding land value and off -site improvement costs.
