A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 2000 -1718 AND ESTABLISHING NEW PARKING
RESTRICTIONS ALONG THE ARROYO VISTA
COMMUNITY PARK ACCESS ROAD
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 21113(c); 22507 and 22519 of the California
Vehicle Code, the City Council adopted Resolution 98 -1466 establishing certain parking
restrictions within Arroyo Vista Community Park; and
WHEREAS, Moorpark City Council rescinded Resolution 98 -1466 and
established Resolution 2000 -1718 on March 15, 2000, revising the parking restrictions,
and
WHEREAS, those parking restrictions included "NO STOPPING ANYTIME ", "NO
STOPPING ANYTIME, EXCEPT BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7 A.M. TO 3 P.M.,
MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY ", and "PARKING OFF PAVEMENT" zones at certain
points on either or both sides of the Park Access Road ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the public interest and
necessity warrant the revision of those parking restrictions, including the restriction of
oversized vehicles; and
WHEREAS, oversized vehicles shall mean any vehicle, as defined by Section
670 of the Vehicle Code, or combination of vehicles, which exceeds nineteen (19) feet
in length, seven (7) feet in width, or eight (8) feet in height, exclusive of projecting lights
or devices allowed by Section 35109, 35110, or 35112 of the Vehicle Code, as may be
amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Parking restrictions at Arroyo Vista Community Park are hereby
established as follows:
A. "NO STOPPING ANYTIME" zones are hereby established on both
sides of the Arroyo Vista Community Park Access Road, as
generally described on Exhibit "A ", Pages 1 and 2, attached hereto
and made a part hereof.

B. "NO PARKING 10:00 P.M. TO 6:00 A.M." zones are hereby established
on the south side of the Arroyo Vista Community Park Access Road, as
generally described on Exhibit "A ", Page 1 of 2, attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
C. "PARKING OFF PAVEMENT" zones are hereby established on both sides
of the Arroyo Vista Community Park Access Road, as generally described
on Exhibit "A ", Page 2 of 2, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
D. "NO OVERSIZED VEHICLE PARKING" zones are hereby established on
the south side of the Arroyo Vista Community Park Access Road, as
generally described on Exhibit "A ", Page 1 of 2, attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of the resolution
and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the book of original resolutions.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of December, 2008.

hereby certify under penalty of perjury that the foregoing Resolution No. 2008 -2784 was
adopted by the City Council of the City of Moorpark at a regular meeting held on the
17th day of December, 2008, and that the same was adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Lowenberg, Mikos, Millhouse, Van Dam, and
Mayor Parvin
