Any member of the public may address the Commission during the Public Comments portion of the agenda, unless it is a Public
Hearing item. Speakers who wish to address the Commission concerning a Public Hearing item must do so during the Public Hearing
for that item. Speaker Cards must be received by the Recording Secretary prior to the Public Comments portion of the meeting.
Speakers will be heard in the order that their Speaker Cards are received. A limitation of 3 minutes shall be imposed upon each
speaker. Copies of the reports or other written documentation relating to each item of business on the Agenda are on file in the office
of the City Clerk and are available for public review. Any questions concerning any Agenda item may be directed to the

The project site totals 284.80 acres, and a General
Plan Amendment is proposed to revise the land use
designation for 38.06 acres from Open Space 2 to
Medium Industrial and for 11.16 acres from Open
Space 2 to General Commercial; a zone change is
proposed to revise the zoning for 38.06 acres from
Open Space -40 Acres to Limited Industrial and for
11.16 acres from Open Space -40 Acres to Commercial
Planned Development,; a Vesting Tentative Map is
proposed to allow subdivision of the project site
into ten lots; and an Industrial Planned Development
Permit is proposed to allow development of an
initial SDI manufacturing facility totaling 131,200
square feet.
The ultimate total industrial development on the
project site is proposed to be approximately 331,000
square feet, to be developed in several phases, and
will accommodate the corporate headquarters and
manufacturing, research, and shipping operations of
SDI. Two commercial projects of approximately
132,000 and 37,000 square feet are also planned (no
commercial planned development permit has been
requested at this time.
The project is located within the Moorpark Area of
Interest in Ventura County and the City of Moorpark;
directly east of the State Route 23 and New Los
Angeles Avenue interchange. Assessor Parcel No(s):
500- 350 -145 and 513 - 505 -085.
Staff Recommendation: 1) Open the public hearing on
the Draft EIR and the Project and accept public
.— comments and testimony; and 2) Close the public
hearing on the Draft EIR, discuss project issues and
continue the Project public hearing to a Special
Meeting scheduled for July 1, 1996.
