HomeMy WebLinkAboutAG RPTS 1996 0715 PC SPCNOTICE AND CALL OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF MOORPARK TO THE MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a Special Meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Moorpark is hereby called to be held on MONDAY, July 15, 1996, commencing at 7:00 p.m. Said meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. Consent Calendar Any member of the public may address the Commission during the Public Comments portion of the agenda, unless it is a Public Hearing item. Speakers who wish to address the Commission concerning a Public Hearing item must do so during the Public Hearing for that item. Speaker Cards must be received by the Recording Secretary prior to the Public Comments portion of the meeting. Speakers will be heard in the order that their Speaker Cards are received. A limitation of 3 minutes shall be imposed upon each speaker. Copies of the reports or other written documentation relating to each item of business on the Agenda are on file in the office of the City Clerk and are available for public review. (Special Devices Incorpn�At-�d) (continued from July 1, 1996) The project site totals 297.92 acres, and a General Plan Amendment is proposed to revise the land use designation for 38.06 acres from Open Space 2 to Medium Industrial and for 11.16 acres from Open Space 2 to General Commercial; a zone change is proposed to revise the zoning for 38.06 acres from Open Space -40 Acres to Limited Industrial and for 11.16 acres from Open Space -40 Acres to Commercial Planned Development,; a Vesting Tentative Map is proposed to allow subdivision of the project site into seven lots; and an Industrial Planned Development Permit is proposed to allow development of an initial SDI manufacturing facility totaling 131,200 square feet. The ultimate total industrial development on the project site �- is proposed to be approximately 331,000 square feet, to be developed in several phases, and will accommodate the corporate headquarters and manufacturing, research, and shipping operations of SDI. Two commercial projects of approximately 132,000 and 37,000 square feet are also planned (no commercial planned development permit has been requested at this time. The project is located within the Moorpark Area of Interest in Ventura County and the City of Moorpark; directly east of the State Route 23 and New Los Angeles Avenue interchange. Assessor Parcel No(s): 500- 350 -145 and 513 - 505 -085. Staff Recommendation: 1) Adopt a resolution recommending approval of General Plan Amendment No. 95 -1 and Zone Change No. 95 -3, and conditional approval of Vesting Tentative Map No. 5004 and Industrial Planned Development Permit No. 95 -2. 10.
