Agullere, Director of Community Development Subject: PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS OF JUNE 13, 1994 1. CALL TO ORDER Chairman Wesner called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. 2. PLEDGE F A GIANCE Commissioner Ted Martens led the Commission in the pledge of allegiance. 3. ROLL CALL Planning Commissioner's Wesner, Torres, Miller, May, and Martens were present Other staff members attending, included the Director of Community Development, Jim Aguilera, and Administrative Secretary, Celia LaFleur. 4. PROCLAMATIONS, COMMENDATIONS AND SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS None. 5. REORDERING OF THE AGENDA There were no items on the agenda that were reordered. 8. APPROVAL OF MINUTES There were no minutes submitted for approval. 7. PUBLIC COMMENTS There were no public comments. 8. CONSENT CALENDAR a. Resolution No. PC -94- CONSIDER A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK CALIFORNIA REQUESTING THE APPLICANT TO REDESIGN RESIDENTIAL PLANNED City of Moorpark 799 Mmrpmk Awns , Moorpmk, CA 93071 (805) 579 -6864 EV- 278 C:194AM311C940613.AC7- 5:03 pm DEVELOPMENT PERMIT NO 89.4 AND VESTING TENTATIVE TRACT MAP NO. 41337 MAJOR MODIFICATION NO. 1 ON THEAPPLICATION OF URBAN WEST COMMUNITIES. THE PLANNING COMMISSION WILLALSO CONSIDER AN ALTERNATIVE RESOLUTION TO DENY THE PROJECT. The Commission by a unanimous voice vote approved a the resolution to recommend to require that VTT4837 be redesigned and set for a public hearing on June 27, 1994. 9. PUBLIC HEARINGS a. Entitlement: Adoption of amendments to the Zoning Ordinance AppIkanC City of Moorpark Proposal: To allow restaurants and dry cleaning facilities in all industrial zones. The proposal will also allow mixed use development in the Downtown commercial zone. Location: Incorporated area of the City of Moorpark Ms. Brown spoke In support of the concept of mixed use zones. She commented on the fact that it would have a positive impact for the downtown merchants, and a method of providing security to the owner /occupied shops. The Cormnission by a unanimous voice vote continued the public hearing to July 11, 1994. 10. DISCUSSION ITEMS The Director gave a verbal status report on the following. a. Griffin Homes proposal. b. Ventura Pacific Capital Group stopping center proposal c. Bollinger Development proposal. 11. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS There were no announcements or future agenda Items presented. 12.
