1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Torres called the meeting to order at 7:11 p.m..

6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Planning Commission approved the ammended minutes as of February
13, 1995, with a 5:0 voice vote.

10. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Consider a request to review Street and Right-of-way Vacation
for Lassen Avenue, LaPalma Court, and Gisler Avenue (Liberty
Bell) and Pinriinn _
-i ao�i�u r. ement Staff Recommendation: That the Planning
Commission finds that the proposed vacation is in conformity
with the City's General Plan and that the Planning Commission
forward a report as to this finding to the City Council.
Steve Hayes presented the report to the Commission. Staff Report
dated February 22, 1995.
The Commission's discussions involved street and pedestrian access
and whether the City informed surrounding property owners (Moorpark
Estates) about these changes. Mr. Hayes said that they previously
held a Town Hall meeting. At that meeting staff presented information
on the alternatives proposed for this area.
Commissioner Miller question Mr. Hayes about the additional traffic
placed onto Poindexter Avenue. Mr. Hayes said that the City may
require a traffic study. Commissioner Martens questioned why just
a portion of this project was under review. Mr. Hayes said the
City's intent was to expedite the street vacation to assist the
developer in his financing of the project.
Resolution No. PC -95 -302 - A resolution of the Planning Commission
that approved the findings that the vacation of La Palma Court,
Lassen Avenue and Gisler Avenue is in conformance with the General
Plan was approved by a 5:0 voice vote.
