Subject: PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS OF AUGUST 28, 199512, 1994
We held the meeting on August 28, 1995, in the City Council
Chambers, at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Torres called the meeting to order at 7:11 p.m..
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Vice Chairman May led the pledge.
3. ROLL CALL
All Commissioner's were present, at the meeting. Staff
attending included the Director of Community Development,
Jim Aguilera, and Administrative Secretary, Celia LaFleur.

None.

6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The Planning Commission meeting of August 14, 1995, was
canceled. The Planning Commission minutes of July 24, 1995,
were submitted for review.
MOTION: Commissioner Miller moved and Commissioner
seconded a motion to approve the Planning
Commission minutes of July 24, 1995. The
passed with a 5:0 voice vote.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
No public comments.
CONSENT CALENDAR
A. RESOLUTION NO. PC -95 -308

A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
NO. CUP 95.1 ON THE APPLICATION OF CELLULAR ONE
(ASSESSOR PARCEL NO. 500.0.280.400.
MOTION: Commissioner Miller moved and Commissioner
Martens seconded a motion to approve
Resolution No. PC -95 -308. The motion passed
with a 5:0 voice vote.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. Entitlement:
CPD90 -2, Major Mod. No. 1
Applicant:
American Stores Properties, Inc.
Proposal:
A proposal to modify the previously approved
Neighborhood Commercial Shopping Center that
consisted of a 45,000 sq. ft. market, 60,400 sq.
ft. retail, 5,000 sq. ft. medical office and 12,000
sq. ft. of restaurant uses for a total of 122,400
sq. ft. to the following: Major Modification No. 1

to CPD 90 -2 consists of a Neighborhood shopping
Center consisting of 15,000 s.f. retail, 63,300
s.f. market, 16,503 s.f. shop space, two pads of
3,000 and 4,500 s.f. and a drug store consisting of
16,480 s.f. for a total of 118,873 s.f.
Location and Parcel Number:
The proposed project site is southwest of the
intersection of Tierra Rejada Road and Mountain
Trail Street in the City of Moorpark. The
Assessor's Parcel Number is 505- 0- 12 -41.
It was staff's recommendation that this item be continued
to September 11, 1995, due to the applicant's failure to
post a public hearing sign at the project site.
Commissioner Martens moved and Commissioner Miller
seconded a motion to continue CPD90 -2, Major Modification
No. 1 to the Commission's next regular meeting of
September 11, 1995. The motion passed with a 5:0 voice
vote.
10. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Entitlement Permit Processing - Verbal Status Report
The Director of Community Development reported on the
permits that are currently being processed.
