October 25, 1983
The regular meeting of the Moorpark Planning Commission was
(� called to order at 7:12 p.m. with all but Commissioner Weak
present.
The minutes of September 27, were approved, the minutes of
October 11 were corrected to include Commissioner Millers
motion that the General Plan be returned to the Planning
Commission for further study after adoption.
Item 4 DP -296 - METAL BELLOWS
Presentation of the project was made to the Commission by
Steve Rodriquez of County Planning Division. It was noted
that the applicant had just requested that Condition No.59
be modified to change "shall" to "should ", which change is
acceptable to the Planning and the Sheriff's departments.
The Commission asked questions of staff regarding:
-- traffic /access
-- grading of the site
-- aesthetics, views from New L.A. Ave.
-- hazardous waste
In attendance to describe the project and answer questions on
behalf of the applicant were:
-� Glen Gessford, 2800 28th Street, Santa Monica (Carlsberg)
John Kulwiec, 330 N. Wood Road #D, Camarillo (Architect)
Richard Campbell, 31822 Village Center Road, Westlake
(Landscape Architect for Metal Bellows)
Jim Solheim, 20960 Knapp Street, Chatsworth (Metal Bellows)
The Commission's,questions and concerns were addressed, except
for questions about:
-- the risk of upset
-- State requirements for storage and disposal if
hazardous materials
-- how the Fire Department would handle the hazardous
materials
It was moved by Commissioner Miller and seconded by Commissioner
Prieto to continue the item to the November 8 meeting, which
motion passed unanimously.
At this time a break was called, the time being 9:40.
The meeting returned to order at 10:01).
Item 5 DP -294 - PRUDENTIAL OVERALL SUPPLY
A =;presentation to the Commission was made by Steve Rodriquez
of County Planning.

Present to answer questions for the City Staff were:
Niall Fritz, City Manager /Director of Community Development
Sergeant Paige, County Sheriffs Department
Present to answer questions for the applicant were:
Roy Swedin, 2811 Teagarden Street, San Leandro (Architect)
Blair Gallaghar, 1661 Alion, Irvine (Prudential)
The Commission raised questions and concerns regarding:
-- fencing
-- traffic, hours of operation
-- chemicals and materials
-- screening of roof mounted equipment
-- landscaping
-- wastewater quality
-- hazardous materials
-- Gabbert and L.A. traffic signal
-- energy use
-- information on what is vented
-- use of solar energy
-- color elevations
-- use of natural light
-- number of toilets and lounges'
-- storage area to be shown
-- the configuration of Gabbert Road regarding sidewalks,
parking and bike lanes
It was moved by Commissioner Miller and seconded by Commissioner
Prieto to continue the matter for two weeks, which motion passed
unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:29p.m.
