HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 1984 0214 PC REGr Moorpark California February 14, 1984 The regular meeting of the Moorpark Planning Commission was called to order at 7:14 p.m. by Chairman Hartley. Commissioner Schleve was absent, all other members were present. The minutes of January 24, 1984 were approved. Item 4A - DP -299 Cabot, Cabot and Forbes The continued hearing on DP -299, to consider a request to construct an 86,412 square foot industrial building in the Cabot, Cabot $ Forbes Industrial Park located on Morning Dove Road east of Los Angeles Avenue, was reopened. Chairman Hartley abstained from participation in this matter because of a potential conflict of interest and turned the chair over to vice -chair Miller. Staff recommended amendments to Conditions No. 35, 49 and 54. Mr. Robert Lumly of Cabot, Cabot and Forbes requested a change to the configurationof the rear retaining wall. The Commission asked several questions regarding traffic and overall parking. It was moved by Commissioner Weak and seconded by Commissioner Prieto, to certify the Negative Declaration and approve the project with staff recommended revisions to conditions and the applicants requested change to the rear retaining wall. Which motion passed 3 to 0. Item 4B. - Parcel Map 3930 The continued hearing on Parcel Map 3930 to consider a four -lot subdivision of a 4.4 acre parcel located north and adjacent to Wicks Road in Moorpark, was re- opened. In attendance and speaking were the following: Doug Brossard, 14442 E. Loyola Street, Moorpark - Applicant Jerry Novell, 4421 Adam Road, Simi. Valley - LBH Engineering Capt. Paul Z,amazanuk, Fire Department The applicant said the water line construction was to start within 30 days. Captain Zamazanuk, of the Ventura County Fire Department suggested that condition No. 15, be deleted. Commissioner Miller moved and Commissioner Weak seconded that the Commission certify the Negative Declaration and approve PM -3930 subject to the rec- ommended conditions with the deletion of Condition No. 15, which motion passed unanimously. At this time, 8:00 p.m., a break was called for. The meeting returned to order at 8:17 p.m. Item 5 - Solar Energy Presentation by Ken Mize Mr. Kenneth Mize, 5011 Larkspur, Ventura, gave a legnthy presentation on Solar energy requirements and presented material to the Commission which was assembled by the Sun Mizer Company. Also speaking on solar energy were Rick White and Bill Pegnato of Solarthonics, 9510 Vassar Avenue, Chatsworth.
