I. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman LaPerch. II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Commissioner Dan Claffey. III. ROLL CALL PRESENT. Commissioners Claffey, Keenan, Hartley, LaPerch; ABSENT: Commissioner Holland arrived at 7:30 p.m. OTHER CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES PRESENT: Richard Morton, Director of Community Development; Michael A. Rubin, Senior Planner; Diane Eaton, Associate Planner; John Knipe, Assistant City Engineer;and Celia LaFleur, Administrative Secretary. IV. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. V. PUBLIC HEARINGS A. Development Plan Permit No. DP -337 - Kraft Requesting approval of a 22,233 square foot industrial facility on a 46,800 square foot site. Located on Gabbert Road between Poindexter Avenue and Los Angeles Avenue. Presented by Diane Eaton; reference: Staff Report dated July 9, 1986. Testimony received by the following: Dennis Kraft, applicant. 1. MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Hartley, second by Commissioner Claffey to direct staff to prepare a resolution of approval for DP- 337 to be presented at the Planning Commissions next regularly scheduled meeting. Motion passed on a 4:0 vote, Commissioner Holland absent. D. Development Plan Permit Nos. DP -338 through 347 and 349 through 353, LDM -8 Annotti Associates DP -338 - 10,400 sq.ft. DP -345 - 5,000 sq.ft. DP -339 - 12,240 sq.ft. DP -346 - 5,000 sq.ft. DP -340 - 12,240 sq.ft. DP -347 - 5,246 sq.ft. DP -341 - 10,614 sq.ft. DP -349 - 5,246 sq.ft. DP -342 - 10,614 sq.ft. DP -350 - 15,372 sq.ft. DP -343 - 12,240 sq.ft. DP -351 - 30,701 sq.ft. DP -344 - 10,800 sq.ft. DP -352 - 30,701 sq.ft. DP -353 - 14,635 sq.ft. Requesting approval to construct industrial /manufacturing buildings as listed in the above entitlement. Located on Goldman Avenue between Maureen Lane and Shasta Avenue. Proposed Noise Element to the General Plan The proposed element would establish policies and procedures to alleviate problems of excessive noise and thus have a positive effect upon the environment. 1. MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Holland, second by Commissioner Claf fey to continue this item to provide for additional review and rework to outline implementation measures. Motion passed on a 5:0 vote. F. Sign Code To consider the adoption and its recommendation of the revised sign code. It was the general consensus of the Commission to defer this item to the Planning Commission meeting of July 23, 1986. VI. COMMISSION COMMENTS A. Sub - Committee Report - Re: Hillside Grading Ordinance It was the consensus of the Commission to continue this item to the Planning Commission meeting of July 23, 1986. The Commission directed staff to place the matter of a Sub_ Committee Report - Re: Industrial Impact on the Planning Commission agenda of July 23, 1986 VII.
