CITY OF MOORPARK
TO THE MEMBERS OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK AND TO THE CITY CLERK:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the Parks and
Recreation Commission of the City of Moorpark is hereby called to be
held on Thursday, April 28, 1988 commencing at 7:00 p.m. Said meeting
will be held in the auditorium of the Mountain Meadows School, located
at 4200 Mountain Meadows Drive, Moorpark, California.

Minutes of April 28, 1988
The Special Informational meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission
of the City of Moorpark, was held in the library of Mountain Meadows School,
4200 Mountain Meadow Drive, Moorpark, California.
1. CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m., with Chairman John Roberts
presiding.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chairman Roberts.
3. ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Commissioners Pat Arambula, Lynn Crockatt, Sam Nainoa,
and Chairman John Roberts.
ABSENT: None.
OTHER CITY OFFICIALS OR EMPLOYEES PRESENT:
Philip E. Newhouse, Director of Community Services
Rebecca J. Hoshida, Administrative Secretary
4. PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Chairman Roberts opened the meeting for public discussion.
Areas of discussion included:
* Publicity for Parks & Recreation Commission.
* Serving of refreshments and video for children to encourage
attendance at the commission meetings.
* Downtown Park
* Lack of child care facilities in Moorpark.
* Towncenter as possible location for day care center.
* Fourth of July celebration.
* Discussion of programs offered by Conejo Community Center.
5. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned to Lamppost Pizza
the time being 8:15 p.m. on a motion by Chairman Roberts, seconded by
Commissioner Arambula.
