PC -86 -105 ;, ' ` A RESOLUTION OF THE MOORPARK PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, REGARDING SIGNALIZATION OF LOS ANGELES AVENUE. THE PLANNING COMMISSION MAKES THE FOLLOWING FINDINGS: A. Los Angeles Avenue within the City of Moorpark is a congested and highly traveled state highway and constitutes the only east /west transportation corridor through the City. B. The incremental development of residential, commercial, and industrial projects in the City of Moorpark have contributed additional traffic to Los Angeles Avenue, causing additional congest- ion and heavy traffic on this throughfare. C. The additional development along Los Angeles Avenue especially the recently improved industrial projects north of Los Angeles Avenue, will generate additional traffic which will have difficulty accessing Los Angeles Avenue due to the existing and anticipated congestion and heavy traffic on Los Angeles Avenue. Left hand movements from Gabbert Road, Maureen Lane, and Goldman Avenue in particular will be extremely difficult and hazardous. D. In order to ensure safe and orderly traffic movements, traffic signals should be installed at the intersections of Gabbert 'f Road, Maureen Lane, Goldman Avenue, Tierra Rejada Road on Los Angeles Avenue. THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1.
