RESOLUTION NO. PC -88 -161
A RESOLUTION OF THE MOORPARK PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA MAKING A RECOMMENDATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL
REGARDING FUTURE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE DECISIONS WITHIN A COUNTY
UNINCORPORATED AREA.
WHEREAS, on November 30, 1987, the Planning Commission considered the
need to make a recommendation to the City Council in association with the review of
a major modification to Development Plan Permit No. 302; and
WHEREAS, the City is currently in the process of considering an update
to its Land Use Element and there appears to be a need to consider future land uses
within the adjacent County area;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE MOORPARK PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
This Commission would encourage the City Council to include any actions
or policy adoptions which would promote either the cotinuation of agriculture uses
or permit only the allowance of a single family residential reserve status to be
shown on a future city land use map. Also, if deemed necessary at this time to
instruct staff to begin the process of amending the City's current land use element
text and map to include a single family residential reserve designation on an area
located in County unincorporated territory south of Los Angeles Avenue, west of the
existing residential tract on Buttercreek Road and north of the Arroyo Simi as noted
on Exhibit A attached.
