requested that a specific traffic analysis of the intersection
of Moorpark /Poindexter Avenues be added. This analysis was not
included in the original contract with the consultant and will cost
approximately $1200. The applicant is in agreement with this
change.

Subject: Amendment to Original Scope of Work -
Environmental Impact Report for
General Plan Amendment 85 -2 (Caren Component)
Dear Mr. Fritz:
This letter is an amendment to the previous scope of work for
the Environmental Impact Report for General Plan Amendment 85 -2
(Caren Component).
The City Engineer's written comments dated May 30, 1985, to the
Administrative Draft EIR require that an intersection capacity
utilization (ICU) analysis be prepared for the afternoon peak period
for the Moorpark Avenue /Poindexter Avenue intersection. This
analysis was not included in the original scope or cost of work for
the traffic section of the Caren Component. As a result, for this
analysis to be completed, the original scope of work and cost must
be revised.
We propose to prepare an intersection utilization capacity
analysis which will address the existing, project- specific and
cumulative traffic volume /capacity relationships at the inter-
section, and appropriate mitigation measures. The additional cost
for preparation of the analysis is $1,200.
Due to this additional work, delivery of the Draft EIR for
public distribution will be delayed until July 13, 1985, twelve days
prior to the Planning Commission public hearing on the document.
This deadline can be met only if we receive authorization from you
to initiate the ICU analysis no later than June 19, 1985.
Should you have any questions concerning this matter, please
call Julie Bulla Hunt at (805) 644 -5535.
